Cowboy's Training Camp

Yes, Seth had such a fun time going to the last Cowboy's Training Camp that he decided to do it again but bring the family along. We had a jam packed weekend of Football and stayed in the same hotel with the Cowboys! Seth had the boys dressed up and carrying footballs and markers around where ever we went so that we would be prepared should we run into a Cowboy. Other than the fact that it was extreemly hot outside and we weren't able to enjoy the Riverwalk as much as we had hoped to, the weekend was a blast!

Waiting for the first afternoon practice to begin. They boys didn't yet know that they were in for a llooong three hour event.

Cowboy Princesses! Too cute. I have a similar photo like this taken six years ago with Caitlyn holding Charles. Wow has the time flown by!

The whole team warming up.

Romo practicing with his receivers and the coach watching.
Getting ready for some action!Up close picture of Dez Bryant, one of the Cowboy's star receivers. We're hoping he has a great season this year.

Day 3 at Universal

This was our last day at Universal and the day that we drove home. But we did spend the morning enjoying the pool at the resort!
The boys had an absolute blast going down the water slides and playing in the pool.

Sleeping beauty! This is the cute swimsuit that Uncle Nick, Aunt Leslie and Cole got for Amy. She was napping in the shade while the boys were splashing down the water slides! She did have fun in the water but it tired her out and she was ready for her nap.

Day 2 Islands of Adventure

Day 2 at Universal was spent at Islands of Adventure. We went to the Harry Potter ride the first thing in the morning and hardly had to wait in line! We met up with Seth's coworker and her family and decided to wear neon yellow shirts! Yes, they were neon and we had zero troubles spotting our gang!

On a ride in the Dr. Seuss area of the park. Our shirts fit right in with the decor!

Seth and Ryan just got blasted with water! Hehehe...

Seth and Ryan ridding the flying dynosaur ride. They loved it!
Caitlyn and Charles riding.

The boys rode these saucers over and over again! Had an absolute blast.
Spinning Saucers! The boys knew what they were in for as they had been riding them for a while but Seth and Caitlyn were a little surprised by how fast they went!

Universal Weekend Day 1

We had a wonderful time at Universal in early May. School was still in session, but it was wrapping up and we took Charles out for two days. A new airline opened up a branch at our local airport and was offering round trip flights to Orlando for only $30 plus tax! We flew our entire family of six for just under $300, so we jumped at the opportunity to go down for a mini-vacation. We splurged a little on the hotel and stayed at a nice resort modeled after Portofino Italy.

Amy ready for Day 1 of our Universal Studios Adventure.

I love this picture of the boys! This was taken just after we had entered the park and had stopped to eat some breakfast. The boys were clearly excited about the day and pointing to everything that they wanted to go to.

The boys ran into Scooby Doo and Shaggy, hard to miss the Mystery Machine!
Charles had won the Scooby Doo earlier in the day and was carrying it with him through the park, or I should say the stroller was carrying it. Shaggy signed Scooby for Charles but only after Charles finally agreed to an appropriate spot (under Scooby's foot). Lol!

We even ran into Shrek and Princess Fiona on our adventures!

Wendy's Wedding

Cara and Amy were able to attend her cousin Wendy's wedding in June. She met up with her brother Reece and sisters Laura and Leslie. It was a fun packed weekend and so much activity going on that she didn't take pictures until the reception...oops!

There are some great shots though. Tried to get as many relatives in the photos as possible. These were taken before Wendy and Brett had arrived, so unfortunately they aren't in them.

Laura and her boyfriend Ali were at our table. Loved their coordinating outfits! Very classy looking.

Amy being cute and gigly! She was very well behaved during the wedding and even fell asleep in her stroller during the reception, allowing her mommy to stay up and play games.

Amy spotted the chocolate covered strawberry on the table!

Dale and Teressa.

Some more familiar faces.

Nice picture of Uncle Ken and Aunt Marta.

The elegible bachelors of the party.

Wendy's sister Cecelia was a bridesmaid and looked so beautiful and grown-up! Hard to believe that I babysat her for a Summer when she was just two years old!

Mother's Day

We were at Universal for Mother's Day. This was taken Mother's Day evening before we ate out at a nice restaurant. We had just gotten off the fairy boat that picked us up at our resort. Was truely a great ending to a fun day!

Smith Dairy Farm

We went to Wiggins MS for the Smith Family Reunion this year around Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time as usual!

Before heading back home we stopped by the family Dairy farm that is owned by one of Seth's second cousins I believe. I think it is his grandfather's brother's son that runs the farm, but I'm not positive.

We were a little to late to see the cow milking action for the day, but the boys had fun riding around in a battery operated vehicle.

Seth bought some cheese and milk to take back home with us.

We had a great visit!

First Day of School

We were waiting for Charles to get on the bus in the morning, or I should say early morning as his bus comes at 6:25am! This was Charles' first day of second grade and Ryan's first day of Pre-K. Both boys were really excited.

I had a very hard time getting the kids to stand still and smile at the camera. Amy just wanted to walk on the grass!

Charles has a teacher that Caitlyn had for a few hours a week in the 5th grade. That's the first time this has happened. His teacher has been teaching for 21 years and likes the Charlie Brown Peanut characters, Snoopy in particular.

Ryan has the same teacher that Charles had for VPK, Ms. Stephanie.

Both boys are doing very well in their new classes.

Amy's First Birthday

Okay, so I'm really behind on my blog posts. Amy is already 17months old and I still haven't posted the pictures from her birthday party. Have no fear folks, I just downloaded all of the pictures from my camera to my computer and I have a rainy three day weekend ahead of me, so what better to do than update the blog.

We had a small family celebration at the house as we did for Charles and Ryan. Amy had a great time. She did appear to be quite interested in several of her gifts even though she also liked the tissue paper and the balloons too!

Crawling to open her first present.

She loved the tissue paper!

I love how Caitlyn, Charles and Ryan all helped Amy with her gifts. They were just as excited and she was.

Caitlyn gave Amy a cute Mini Mouse hat. Adorable!
After all of the presents were opened, Amy went immediately to the balloons!
