Well, we were finally able to get our house clean enough to put it on the market last Friday. We've managed so far to keep it clean everytime we leave the house in the mornings. Our garage is packed full of boxes!!! We're living on the bare essentials, but it definitely helps us keep the house clean. The kids do have one dresser drawer full of some of their special toys, but before they go to bed, everything goes back in the drawer. Here are a few pictures of our beautiful house...sniff sniff, going to be hard to say goodbye when the time comes. We had to paint a lot of the rooms in neutral colors, and as a result some of the furniture or curtains no longer matched, but oh well. There is a lot green and beige in the house. Let's hope the new owners like the color green, otherwise they'll have a lot of painting to do!

Visit with Leslie & Mom
Cara and Amy took a short trip to Indianapolis to visit with Leslie, Nick, Cole, Finn and mom (Grandma K). It was a jam packed long weekend full of watching little ones, cooking, cleaning and sorting baby clothes. Finn was so adorable and Amy and Cole really played well together, they became best buds...well most of the time.

Brick color
Well, our lot has been cleared and they are putting up the molds to pour in concrete for the basement walls. Apparently Randy Wise came by our lot and was impressed with the view that we will have from our back deck.
I haven't been able to pick out the interior colors yet because some of their samples from last year have been discontinued and they are still waiting to get the new samples in. I should hear from them in the next few weeks though. In the meantime we have settled on the outside colors. They gave us about 11 different choices of color combinations. I took pictures of my top three favorites and then decided that I really didn't like the third one and sent Seth my top two choices. I had a clear favorite of the two, and sure enough Seth liked my favorite the best. So it was an easy decision. He also showed his coworkers the two choices and it was a clear 6 to 1 vote for the one that we picked. Most of the other choices had very dark brick colors, or the bricks were a solid color. I liked this one because the brick was lighter in color and has specks of cream and brown in the brick that will give it some variation.
We've been spending every spare minute fixing and cleaning up our current house. Painting, painting and more painting! Seth's mom also came up and helped Seth with the weeding and making the flower garden next to our front door look really nice. It looks amazingly good! Something we should have done years ago. Seth cut down the overgrown tree that was covering up the dining room window and took out all of the weeds and trimmed down the overgrown bushes and purchased a handful of new plants to fill in the bare areas, and bought about 30 bags of red lava rock. The garden area looks great now and the red lava rocks really show off the light green decorative grasses, dark green juniper type plants and azalea bushes. The inside of the house is really starting to look nice too! I'll take pictures soon.
